Fossil in the Cloud

Here is a story Keenan made up today (as scribed by Grandma Jeri).

The Fossil in the Cloud, by Keenan (age 4.9 years)

First there is a flower in the cloud. A puppy smells the flower. All of a sudden, a monster comes, but to our surprise, it was Keenan. The monster has a lot of arms. They were slipping on ice down the mountain and crashed. Then Sunna came to save Keenan monster and the puppy.Sunna saved the day. All of a sudden, a boulder rolled down the mountian and squished Isis, the monster and Sunna and the flower.

The end.

Belt Lantern Drop

Celebrated the New Year with family in NW Montana. Had a wonderful time. Since we didn’t have much access to live TV to watch the ball drop in Times Square, we decided to celebrate on our own. We took a lighted Coleman lantern and lowered it via a rope. Yes, alcohol was involved in our decision making process.

Jubilee College State Park

Jeri and I spent some time wandering through the restored prairie at Jubilee College State Park, Illinois on Sunday, July 11. These are some of the flowers and insects we encountered.

July 4 photos

These are some of the photos I took while we were celebrating July 4 in Indiana. I particularly like the knots which look like a wolf.
